Christine has over fifteen of experience as a designer and developer of websites and as a creative and technical consultant. She is looking to combine her past experience with her newly acquired skills in full stack web development.

Christine’s past web projects includes a long list of recognizable corporate brands such as Warner Bros. Home Video, Warner Bros. Publishing, Warner Bros. Studio Store, The Picture Mill, Ruby-Spears Productions, Kino Flo Lighting, and Ambow Corporation. Her portfolio includes websites in markets as diverse as film, broadcast, online entertainment, and e-learning, to websites for art dealers and museums, for legal and financial institutions, to manufacturers’ catalogs and online storefronts for consumer goods and professional services.

Years of experience developing online properties has given Christine an insight into the special demands and opportunities presented by the web. She has a strong understanding of client dynamics and expectations. On a functional level, she has a solid grounding in a tested methodology for managing interactive accounts – from the RFP (Request for Proposal) stage, through the design and production period and through beta testing, to launch and promotion, and to maintenance of legacy sites and proper documentation. Christine has a true understanding of the hard work involved to launch a successful website, of the amount of time each step requires, and an appreciation for what each member of the web team contributes. Christine practices Agile Development and Test Driven Development.

Over the years, Christine has also worked in the Hollywood special effects and commercial production industry. She has managed creative and technical teams of motion graphics and animation artists. Projects include main title graphics for film and broadcast, and motion graphics for trailers and commercials. Projects and clients include Borat, The Queen, Charlotte’s Web, Disney Channel, Disney Interactive and Miramax Films.

Christine has a liberal arts degree in English (creative writing emphasis) from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, with a minor in Studio Arts. Her formal education is supplemented by design, programming, and multimedia specific courses. In 2015, Christine went through General Assembly’s Web Development Immersive program to become a full stack developer.

Christine is also active in the Los Angeles arts community as a writer, visual artist and as a radio producer and on-air personality. Since 1994, she has produced and hosted “Echo in the Sense,” a weekly hour-long radio program focused on public affairs topics and on technology and the arts. The program currently broadcasts on FM radio in the nation’s second largest radio market.

She Can Code

Christine lives and breathes HTML and CSS. Knows a thing or two about Ruby and Javascript. Can find her way around MVC and RESTFUL architecture. Knows several stacks, including Ruby on Rails and MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js). Works with relational and non-relational databases. Can rock the terminal.

She's Creative

It radiates from every pore of her being. Whether it's art direction or creative problem solving, her motivation is in finding unique solutions to problems. Creativity is what drew her to programming and to web design. One of her primary goals is to eventually become a master at both by putting in her 10,000 hours.

She Loves Design

15 years of front-end design has sharpened Christine's aesthetic judgement and has made good design second nature. Good design is arresting; it stops you in your tracks and compels you to pay attention. In an age of disposable media, it is more important than ever to make a strong first impression.

She's a Team Player

Having worked on both the production end and the project management side, Christine has an appreciation of what each member of the team contributes. Her experience helps her fill in the gaps. Her organizational skills and project management background keeps things moving forward.
